Enabling Your Shopping Assistant Bot & Chat Widget Hub

The Shopping Assistant Bot is an AI-powered tool designed to enhance your customers' shopping experience by recommending relevant products based on their inquiries. To use the bot, a Shopify or WooCommerce store needs to be connected to your brand(s). When enabled, the bot will leverage your store’s product catalog to offer personalized suggestions, making it easier for customers to find what they’re looking for.

Enabling the Shopping Assistant Bot
  1. Navigate to Settings > Chatbots.
  2. Click 'Manage Bots' for the brand you want to enable the Shopper Bot for (if you manage multiple brands).
  3. Click on the checkbox for 'Shopping Assistant Bot'

Enabling the Shopping Assistant Hub

After activating your Shopping Assistant Bot, you can also enable the Shopping Assistant Hub in your chat widget. This feature adds a search field to your widget, allowing customers to search for products. The Shopping Assistant Hub works like a customer-initiated message but routes the interaction directly to the bot.

To enable the Shopping Assistant Hub:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Chat Widgets.
  2. Click 'Edit' for the brand you want to enable Shopping Assistant Hub for.
  3. Skip through the customization pages by clicking 'Next' until you reach the last page.
  4. Click on the 'Enabled?' checkbox under 'Shopping Assistant.'

Tips for Better Bot Performance
  1. Unpublish Outdated Products: Remove any products that you no longer offer. The bot will recommend all products that are currently published in your catalog.
  2. Maintain Clear Product Descriptions: Make sure your product titles and descriptions are detailed and up-to-date. The bot uses this information to match customer inquiries with suitable products.
